Voter turnout in Kosovo-Metohija 82.1%

Head of the Coordinating Centre's team to carry out the referendum in Kosovo-Metohija Nenad Popovic said last evening that according to preliminary results 82.1% of the 101,456 total registered voters in Kosovo-Metohija voted at the referendum.
Popovic told a press conference that the turnout was highest in the Prizrenski district – 96.7%, followed by Pecki district with 96.3%, while in Kosovsko-pomoravski district it was 89%, in Kosovski district 80.1%, and in Kosovsko-mitrovacki district 79.6%.
He said that the referendum went ahead peacefully and residents of Kosovo-Metohija were able to express their will.
According to Popovic, polling stations in Kosovo- Metohija were also visited by an EU delegation, which was satisfied with referendum arrangements.
