Vice president of the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija and head of the economic team for Kosovo-Metohija and the south of Serbia Nenad Popovic will ask for support from Chinese officials in efforts to keep Serbia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The economic team for Kosovo-Metohija and the south of Serbia said that Popovic will meet with Chinese officials and will thank them on China’s principal position in respecting international law and UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
Popovic will present Serbia’s platform and current activities of Belgrade authorities in Beijing during negotiations on Kosovo-Metohija’s future status.
He will also inform Chinese officials that the forthcoming referendum for Serbia’s new Constitution on October 28 and 29 will be organised at 265 polling stations in Kosovo-Metohija.
Popovic will also present the alarming situation in the energy sector and frequent power cuts in the province and will also stress that Kosovo-Metohija is the region with highest unemployment rates and highest degree of organised crime in Europe.
Popovic is scheduled to meet with Chinese officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Trade.
