Dulic-Markovic said that the municipality of Tutin in cooperation with the Serbian government and non-governmental organisations (NGOs) is making significant progress in reducing poverty.
During a visit to the health centre in Tutin, where new facilities worth 10 million dinars are being constructed by the Serbian government, Dulic-Markovic said that it is most important that the residents of Tutin have health care and good education.
According to director of the health centre Serif Hamzagic, a sum of €420,000 has been allocated from the National Investment Plan for the reconstruction of the old building and village dispensaries.
The Deputy Prime Minister visited the preschool establishment in Tutin “Habiba Stojcic” and said on the occasion that no one can fight against poverty alone, but joint efforts by local-self governments, the non-governmental sector and the government can overcome poverty step by step.
A project of the Fund for Social Innovations, “The Travelling Kindergarten” is being realised in this nursery, and the programme includes 58 children with special needs. The Serbian government has provided them with a bus which takes them twice a week from remote villages and settlements to the preschool establishment in the city.
Ivana Dulic-Markovic together with members of the team for implementing the Poverty Reduction Strategy will also visit the furniture factory “Dalas” and wood industry complex “Jelak”.
