Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, spoke today, on the eve of tomorrow’s International Roma Day, with representatives of the National Council of the Roma National Minority about improving their position and further strengthening inclusive policies in Serbia.

Macut said that the Government of Serbia will continue to implement measures aimed at improving the quality of life of the Roma community and building a society of equal opportunities for all.
At the meeting, discussion focused on the importance of systemic measures in the areas of education, employment, health and social protection, as well as the challenges faced by the Roma, but also the positive progress achieved through joint activities in the previous period.
The need for further investments in the education of young people and their greater inclusion in the labour market was particularly emphasised.
