First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Siniša Mali attended today at Playground at the Belgrade Fair the presentation of the names of the mascots for Specialised Expo 2027, which will be held in Belgrade.
Rastko and Milica are the names of the mascots that will make the exposition recognisable, it was announced today after the citizens' vote for the choice of names from among 13 pairs, which was opened in May last year, and in which approximately 100,000 citizens took part.
Mali said that Rastko and Milica will be symbols of the greatest event in the history of Serbia, but also of progress and success in the coming decade.
He stated that there are 471 days left until the start of the biggest event in Serbia and the world in 2027, and added that it is Serbia’s greatest development opportunity and an opportunity to promote Serbia and to host between three and four million visitors, which is the number of expected guests in Belgrade next year.
Mali added that 132 countries have confirmed their participation in Expo 2027 to date, which will make Expo in Belgrade the largest specialised exposition to date, since the previous exposition organised in Astana had 115 participating countries.
