Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, congratulated the citizens of Republika Srpska 9 January the Day of Republika Srpska, in Banja Luka today and stressed that it is important to maintain relations between Serbia and Republika Srpska in accordance with the constitutional provisions that are based on the Dayton Peace Agreement.

In a statement to journalists before the start of the ceremonial academy marking the Day of Republika Srpska, Macut said that Serbia supports an integral Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the constitutional powers that Republika Srpska has within that framework.
Today in Banja Luka, we pay tribute to those who fought for Republika Srpska, said the Prime Minister, expressing satisfaction that all residents of Republika Srpska, whether Orthodox or of other faiths, live in peace today.
He said that Serbia will always treat the residents of Republika Srpska as brothers and sisters and that it will strengthen traditionally established relations, primarily in the areas of infrastructure, economy, and now also healthcare, education and science. The Prime Minister of Serbia previously met with Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Savo Minić.
