Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski today hosted children of Serbian nationality from Prijedor, Herceg Novi and Grahovo, who are visiting Belgrade.
Together with them, Đurđević Stamenkovski attended a sermon delivered by Patriarch Porfirije at the Church of Saint Sava, where she stated that the days leading up to Christmas and gathering around faith and tradition have a special strength.
Following the visit to the Church of Saint Sava, a reception entitled Christmas at the Princess’s was held at the Residence of Princess Ljubica.
The Minister noted that care for children and the preservation of ties with our people in the region remain permanent priorities of Serbia, adding that this meeting sends a message that our country cares for its children wherever they live and that the doors of our capital are always open to them.
Serbian children from the region, aged between 9 and 14, are staying in Belgrade from 4 to 6 January, ahead of the Christmas holidays.
