Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Dragan Glamočić, PhD, held a working meeting today with representatives of the IPARD Managing Authority, the IPARD Agency, the Ministry of Finance and expert services, dedicated to enhancing the implementation of the IPARD III programme and accelerating its realisation.

The meeting reviewed the current state of programme implementation, the dynamics of processing applications and making payments, as well as issues related to the accreditation of new measures, with particular emphasis on strengthening institutional capacities and improving electronic operations.
Glamočić stressed that the priority is for the IPARD programme to be visible through concrete results on the ground, noting that it is most important for the system to function through actual payments and clear deadlines.
It was pointed out that without strengthening human resources, long-term sustainable implementation of the programme is not possible, as well as the importance of ensuring that all solutions are aligned with applicable budgetary and fiscal regulations, alongside readiness to continue inter-ministerial cooperation.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management remains committed to stabilising and improving the IPARD system, in cooperation with the European Commission and relevant institutions, with the aim of ensuring that available funds are used as efficiently as possible in the interests of farmers and the development of rural areas in Serbia, according to the statement.
