Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, spoke today with Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Belgrade Mohammad Sadegh Fazli about bilateral relations and opportunities for their further improvement.
Macut pointed out the importance of further strengthening political dialogue and emphasised that Serbia remains committed to developing partnership relations based on mutual respect and understanding.
The Prime Minister also stated that improved cooperation is possible in the areas of medicine, education, trade, education, sport and culture.
Macut said that bilateral relations between Serbia and Iran are at a high level, and stressed that Serbia is grateful to Iran for not recognising the self-proclaimed independence of “Kosovo”.
Ambassador Fazli expressed Iran’s readiness to continue strengthening cooperation in multiple sectors and improving ties between the two peoples.
