Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić underlined today, during talks with the Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on European Union Policies of the Chamber of Deputies of the Italian Republic, Alessandro Giglio Vigna, that Italy is an important strategic partner of Serbia, with which an intensive political dialogue is developing alongside cooperation in numerous areas.

Serbia highly appreciates Italy’s consistent support for its European path, including support for the opening of Cluster 3, as well as in the field of regional cooperation, he said, emphasising the importance of Italy’s engagement within KFOR, primarily in maintaining security and stability in Kosovo and Metohija.
According to him, Serbia seeks even more intensive economic cooperation with Italy, bearing in mind the significant results that Serbia has achieved in strengthening its economic stability.
Đurić also extended an invitation to Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs Antonio Tajani to visit Belgrade in the near future.
