Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Snežana Paunović discussed today with Montenegrin Minister of Public Administration Marash Dukaj the two countries’ experiences in the processes of modernising public administration.
At the meeting, where one of the central topics was the digitalisation of local government units, Paunović emphasised that 69 Single Administrative Points have been opened in Serbia so far, with the number to grow to 80 by the end of the year.
She also noted that funds have been provided in the Ministry’s budget for the next budget year, in order to pursue the continuity in the development of a public administration that is more efficient, accessible and closer to citizens.
The interlocutors concluded that the digitalisation of services, the modernisation of administration and cooperation in these processes are important prerequisites for strengthening administrative capacities and providing better, faster and more efficient services to citizens.
The ministries of the two countries will continue their cooperation through the exchange of good practices and expert experience in the field of improving public administration.
