Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić spoke today, on the eve of the meeting of foreign ministers of the Central European Initiative (CEI), with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of North Macedonia Timcho Mucunski.
Đurić and Mucunski spoke at the Deputies' Club in Belgrade, where the head of Serbian diplomacy hosted a gala dinner for delegations that will participate in tomorrow's meeting of CEI foreign ministers at the Palace of Serbia.
The head of Serbian diplomacy underlined that this is a great opportunity for a bilateral meeting and for discussions on improving relations between Serbia and North Macedonia, emphasising that our two countries cooperate closely and have historically good relations.
In this period, we have a special responsibility to strengthen both our transport links and our economic activity and cooperation in all segments of society within the broader European agenda, the Minister pointed out.
Đurić assessed that Serbia and North Macedonia strongly support each other when it comes to the European path, adding that participation in the CEI is an opportunity to discuss topics related to regional cooperation.
Mucunski underlined that bilateral relations between our two countries are excellent, adding that there is still much that needs to be done together.
He pointed out the importance of continuing engagement on specific projects, while strengthening good political relations, but also in the fields of economy, education and culture.
