Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić discussed today with the new Head of the OSCE Mission to Serbia, Ambassador Marcel Peško, the priorities of cooperation and joint activities in the coming period.
Đurić emphasised that the OSCE represents one of the most important partners for Serbia when it comes to dialogue and maintaining stability in the region.
The Minister highlighted the importance of the support that the OSCE provides to Serbia in the process of European integration, including in the areas of the rule of law, human rights, media freedoms and democratic standards.
Đurić also underlined the importance of the activities of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo and Metohija and pointed out that Serbia highly values its role in monitoring minority rights and the security situation on the ground, which is of particular importance for the Serbian community and for preserving stability in the province.
