The chairman, deputy of the UN Special Envoy for Kosovo Albert Roan, will begin the discussion with the issue of protected zones around religious and cultural monuments, as well as supervision and implementation of the agreement on the return of historically significant property.
The Belgrade team in the first part of the talks will comprise the negotiating team's coordinator Slobodan Samardzic, Advisor to the Serbian President Dusan Batakovic, Head of the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija Sanda Raskovic-Ivic, Director of the Serbian Office for Protection of Cultural Monuments Gordana Markovic and Serbian Orthodox Church representatives, including Archbishop Amfilohije, bishops Irinej, Artemije and Teodosije.
In the afternoon session, the teams will discuss the use of language and freedom of movement, as well as other important issues regarding minority rights. As for talks on human rights and protection, the negotiators will discuss the presence of minorities in Kosovo parliament, the government, the judiciary and other mechanisms for the protection of human and minority rights.
