Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić expressed today, during talks with the newly appointed Ambassador of France to Belgrade, Florence Ferrari, gratitude to the country for its support to Serbia’s European perspective to date.
Wishing the Ambassador a successful mandate, Đurić reiterated that membership in the European Union is a strategic commitment and a priority of Serbia’s foreign policy.
The interlocutors discussed bilateral cooperation, with a special focus on economic ties, noting that it has been developing intensively in the past few years, but is also expanding to new areas.
Speaking about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, the head of Serbian diplomacy informed the Ambassador about the vulnerability of the Serbian people due to a series of unilateral moves by Priština, emphasising that it is necessary to ensure the security of our people, and then to implement the obligations from the agreements reached so far.
Regarding regional topics, Đurić underlined that Serbia is clearly committed to peace and stability, both domestically and in the region.
