Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Ivica Dačić presented today in Sarajevo the results of Serbia’s activities and responses to contemporary security and migration challenges.
At a meeting with the newly appointed European Commissioner for Internal Affairs and Migration Magnus Brunner, held on the sidelines of the EU-Western Balkans Ministerial Forum, Dačić emphasised that Serbia is the EU’s reliable partner in preserving stability and security in the region.
Brunner particularly pointed out the good and constructive mutual cooperation.
Special attention was paid to harmonising Serbia’s visa policy with that of the EU, while the meeting also discussed the possibilities of further strengthening cooperation between Serbia and the European Union in the field of internal affairs, with a particular focus on migration, border management and protection, as well as the fight against serious and organised crime.
Dačić stressed that the meeting with Brunner is of great importance for continuing the ongoing and constructive dialogue between Serbia and the European Union in the field of internal affairs, as well as for providing a joint response to contemporary security and migration challenges.
