Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić stated today that by participating in the Future Investment Initiative conference in Riyadh, Serbia is following the latest trends in the economy, geopolitics and artificial intelligence.
Đurić assessed that Serbia is one of the most attractive investment destinations, not only in the Balkans but also in Southeast Europe.
According to him, Serbia is centrally located, has a significant talent pool and a very broad regulatory framework that enables the creation of scientific and technological ecosystems that may be unique in Europe.
Serbia is a country whose economy is structured so that new technologies are already overtaking agriculture in terms of GDP contribution, while at the same time, it is a country that has modern data centres, such as the state data centre in Kragujevac, which is used by certain major companies.
He added that Serbia will accordingly continue to leverage technology, knowledge and science as tools to bridge the gap with the world’s most developed countries.
