Minister of Family Care and Demography Jelena Žarić Kovačević presented today in the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku, Serbia’s experience in applying artificial intelligence to improve services for citizens.
Participating in the panel Digital Government and Transformation with Artificial Intelligence, held within the framework of the international conference SOCGOV 2025: AI for Humanity and Transformation, Žarić Kovačević underlined that Serbia is a regional leader in digitalised services and e-government, with well-developed platforms that provide citizens with easy access to a wide range of services.
The Minister highlighted, among other matters, the integration of a digital assistant, a chatbot, on the official website of the Ministry of Family Care and Demography, which enables faster and more accurate provision of information to citizens on the procedures of the Alimony Fund.
She also pointed out that Serbia continuously invests in digital infrastructure, thereby enhancing the efficiency and transparency of public administration.
The conference brought together more than 350 participants from 20 countries, including leading experts and representatives of public administration, academia, and the private sector.
