Government to set aside €30 mln for modernisation of air force

Serbian Minister of Finance Mladjan Dinkic said today that the Serbian government will set aside from the National Investment Plan €30 million for the renovation and modernisation of air force this and next year.

Dinkic said at the Batajnica airport that this investment will enable Serbian air force to protect the country's sky, which is in line with the Serbian government's decision and Euro-Atlantic practice in that field.
The promotion of the defence system at the military airport Batajnica near Belgrade was attended by the representative of the Serbian chief of staff, Lieutenant-General Zdravko Ponos and Minister of Defence Zoran Stankovic, who voiced satisfaction with the promise of the Serbian government and the Ministry of Finance that it will support the air force.
The presentation was also attended by military envoys accredited in Belgrade, Assistant Minister of Defence for defence policy Snezana Samardzic-Markovic and State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Zvonko Obradovic.
