Glamočić stressed that the two countries share the same values, such as stable development, efficient management of natural resources and the well-being of citizens, and expressed hope that the meeting will contribute to concrete projects in the field of water management.
Deputy Minister of Water Resources of the People’s Republic of China and Director of the Yellow River Conservancy Commission (YRCC) Zu Leiming, who led the high-level delegation of this country, emphasised that water resources management and flood protection are issues of common interest.
Our intention is to build smart, sustainable and safe water systems together through knowledge exchange and technical cooperation, he said, expressing confidence that the results of this cooperation will contribute to the economic progress and well-being of the people of the two countries.
Both sides agreed to prepare a memorandum of understanding in the field of water management in the coming period, with the expressed intention to continue and deepen cooperation between Serbia and China in accordance with the Belt and Road initiative and the vision of a common future for the two countries.
