Minister of Justice Nenad Vujić and Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil Maria Laura da Rocha signed today the Extradition Agreement, which regulates issues of legal cooperation between the two countries regarding the extradition of accused and convicted persons.

The conclusion of this agreement and its entry into force will create conditions for closer and more efficient cooperation between the two states in the fight against all forms of crime, especially transnational organized crime, so that persons who are being prosecuted in one state or have been convicted of a criminal offense in it, would not escape criminal proceedings or serve their sentences by fleeing to another state.
