Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starović emphasised today that Serbia highly values its partnership with Austria, both in the field of European integration and in economic and security issues.
Starović discussed with Federal Minister for Europe, Integration and Family of the Republic of Austria Claudia Plakolm the ways to deepen the partnership in areas of common interest.
The Minister expressed his gratitude to Austria for its constant and strong support for Serbia’s European integration process, emphasising that this support is reflected not only in political engagement but also in the concrete financial and technical assistance that Austria provides to Serbia.
Plakolm underlined that Austria remains a firm and consistent advocate of the European perspective of Serbia and the entire Western Balkans.
She expressed her gratitude to Serbia for its active cooperation within the framework of the trilateral initiative of Hungary, Austria and Serbia aimed at more effectively preventing illegal migration, highlighting that this cooperation is crucial for the security and stability of the entire region.
The ministers confirmed their readiness to continue intensive cooperation and joint work on projects that contribute to bringing Serbia closer to the European Union and strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
