Ložionica creative, innovative, digital centre opened

Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Academician Bela Balint attended today, together with President of the Republic Aleksandar Vučić and Speaker of the National Assembly Ana Brnabić, the ceremonial opening of the eGovernment House and Ložionica, a multifunctional creative, innovative and digital centre.

Vučić announced that Ložionica will become part of Belgrade’s congress offering, with a focus on supporting the creative industries.

According to him, citizens will be able to solve problems, obtain documents and receive answers to their questions in one place, thereby shortening procedures and making public administration more efficient, simpler and more accessible to all.

Director of the Office for Information Technologies and eGovernment Mihailo Jovanović explained that the restored building, constructed a century ago, had once been a driving force of the Second Industrial Revolution.

He announced that the eGovernment House will also host the establishment of an AI District, Cyber District, Open Data Hub and Digital District.

The entire Ložionica and eGovernment House complex spans more than 23,000 square metres.

Renovation works on this space began approximately two years ago, with the goal of preserving its cultural and historical heritage while adding modern elements and providing a new, modernised workspace.
