Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Professor Dragan Glamočić, PhD, met today in Skopje with Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management of the Republic of North Macedonia Cvetan Tripunovski to discuss cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture, as well as the possibilities for its improvement in the coming period.

Strengthening partnership relations with North Macedonia in field of agriculture

Special emphasis was placed on improving the exchange of know-how and technologies in the field of agricultural production, as well as on strengthening partnership relations through joint projects and regional initiatives.
An agreement was reached that the line ministries continue intensive communication with the aim of developing sustainable and competitive agriculture that will contribute to the economic progress of the entire region.
The Minister invited his counterpart to visit Serbia and for the Republic of North Macedonia to participate in this year’s wine, food and tourism fair “Wine Vision by Open Balkan”, which will be held in November in Belgrade.
The ministers also discussed the importance of supporting young farmers as drivers of agricultural development, emphasising that encouraging young people to engage in agricultural production is the key to the modernisation and revitalisation of rural areas in Serbia, the region and the world.
Glamočić is on a working visit to North Macedonia, as a member of the delegation of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, led by Prime Minister Professor Đuro Macut, MD, DSc, which also includes Minister of Domestic and Foreign Trade Jagoda Lazarević.
