During the informal meeting, Macura specifically emphasised that work is under way on amendments to the Law on the Prevention of Domestic Violence, which will enter into force by the end of this year, as well as that amendments to the Criminal Code are being drafted.
During the conversation, the important role of the civil sector in preventing and combating violence against women was highlighted, with Macura noting that the office she heads has supported a large number of civil society organisations working on this topic over the last and this year.
