Minister of Public Administration and Local Self-Government Snežana Paunović stated in Podgorica that the capacity of public administrations is measured not by the number of employees or the amount of training, but by the ability of institutions to effectively perform their duties and meet the expectations of citizens, businesses and partners.

Paunović, participating in a roundtable discussion on building the capacity of public administrations, as part of the SIGMA ministerial conference “Capacity of public administrations for EU integration and beyond”, recalled that Serbia has built a strong institutional framework.
She identified the rejuvenation of professional staff as one of the main challenges.
The Minister placed particular emphasis on Serbia’s achievements in digitalisation, noting that electronic services save citizens and businesses significant time and money and that digitalisation is a means to make the administration more efficient, transparent and user-oriented.
