Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Ayman Safadi signed today an Agreement on the abolition of visas for holders of official and diplomatic passports between the governments of the two countries.

At a meeting with Safadi, held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session, Đurić pointed to the good and stable political relations between Serbia and Jordan, emphasizing that there is a clear mutual will to further strengthen them.
He particularly emphasized the importance of developing cooperation in areas of common interest, primarily transport and infrastructure.
The Serbian Foreign Minister conveyed Serbia’s readiness to intensify political dialogue in the coming period.
Đurić welcomed the confirmation of Jordan’s participation in Specialised Expo 2027, which will be held in Belgrade, assessing this as a significant step in strengthening economic and cultural exchange between the two countries.
The Minister added that the opening of the Serbian Embassy in Amman is also expected, which, as he stated, will contribute to more intensive institutional cooperation and Serbia's presence in the Middle East region.
