Minister of State Administration and Local Self-Government Snežana Paunović met in Podgorica with the Director of the Regional School of Public Administration (ReSPA) Secretariat, Maja Handjiska Trendafilova, expressing Serbia’s appreciation of ReSPA’s contribution in strengthening public administrations in the Western Balkans.

Paunović, who is in Podgorica to participate in the SIGMA ministerial conference “Capacity of public administrations for EU integration and beyond”, which brings together ministers and experts from the region and the European Union, congratulated Handjiska Trendafilova on ReSPA’s 15 years of successful work.
Paunović underlined that cooperation with ReSPA is of strategic importance, both for supporting the process of European integration and public administration reform, and for improving institutional capacities and the quality of services for citizens.
Handjiska Trendafilova expressed readiness to raise cooperation with Serbia to an even higher level, especially in the field of public administration reform, professionalisation of the civil service and the introduction of modern management standards.
She emphasised that Serbia has a reliable and strategic partner in ReSPA, which will continue to provide support in all reform processes.
