Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić confirmed today, in a conversation with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary Péter Szijjártó, the excellent bilateral cooperation which, through a strategic partnership and intensive political dialogue, is characterised by the improvement of political, economic and cultural ties between the two countries.

Continuity of political dialogue, joint projects with Hungary

In a meeting, held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in New York, the interlocutors assessed that the economic relations between the two countries are developing dynamically, particularly emphasising cooperation in the field of transport infrastructure and joint projects in the field of gas and oil industries.
One of the topics of the meeting was the upcoming, third meeting of the Strategic Council for Cooperation between Serbia and Hungary, which will be held in Belgrade by the end of the year, and which is an important factor for improving overall relations.
Bearing in mind that economic cooperation follows our excellent political relations, Đurić underlined that in the coming period, cooperation should focus on strengthening energy security and improving infrastructure connections.
