Chinese experiences important for modernising education in Serbia

Belgrade/Shanghai, 18 September 2025

Minister of Education Professor Dejan Vuk Stanković, PhD, today visited Huawei Connect, one of the largest events showcasing technological achievements in the field of digitalisation, robotics and artificial intelligence, running from 18 to 20 September in Shanghai.

The event is presenting innovative teaching solutions and trends, technological solutions for digital schools of the future, such as interactive digital boards and smart classrooms where teaching takes place with the help of artificial intelligence, modern training for teachers, as well as the use of robots as assistants in interactive lectures.

Stanković assessed that the event has showcased top technological achievements in various fields, especially in the field of education.

The Minister pointed out that the digitalisation of education has shown visible positive results in Chinese education and expressed hope that Serbia will very soon implement some of China’s positive experiences at its schools and faculties.

Stanković also met with representatives of Huawei, with whom he discussed further improvement and intensification of cooperation in the field of digital transformation of education systems in Serbia.

President of Huawei’s European Region Jim Lu stated that the company has extensive experience in developing modern technologies in the field of education and confirmed its readiness to help Serbia in modernising education with the help of new technologies.
