Minister of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs Milica Đurđević Stamenkovski met today with Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Serbia Aleksandr Botsan-Kharchenko.
The topics of discussion included enhancing cooperation in the field of social policy, labour and employment, as well as expanding the existing Social Security Agreement.
Đurđević Stamenkovski emphasised that this agreement currently covers only pension and disability insurance and that the aim is to include health insurance, given the large number of Serbian citizens working in Russia.
Botsan-Kharchenko underlined that Russia’s position regarding Serbia’s national interest is stable and unchanged. He said that Russia is ready to further strengthen cooperation in the areas of labour, employment and labour migration, and that it will do everything possible to facilitate the process of improving bilateral relations.
