Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starović spoke today with Deputy Minister for European Affairs of Cyprus Marilena Raouna about Serbia’s accession negotiations in the context of the upcoming Cypriot presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The two officials discussed bilateral relations, the situation in the Western Balkans region, as well as the current situation in Kosovo and Metohija.
The interlocutors also spoke about Cyprus’ preparations for the presidency of the Council of the European Union and the current developments regarding the Cyprus issue.
Starović also met with Archbishop Georgios III of Cyprus, and during the talks, the strong spiritual and cultural connection between the Serbian and Cypriot peoples was highlighted.
The meetings passed in a friendly and constructive atmosphere, confirming the close relations and mutual support between Serbia and Cyprus.
