The government adopted the Information on the memorandum of understanding between the Serbian government, Srbijagas public gas company and the Russian Gazprom-Gazexport. The Memorandum concerns construction of a 400-kilometer gas pipeline through the territory of Serbia. The total investment stands at more than $800 million and it will make Serbia one of the main regional factors in the transmission of gas.
The government approved the Bill on amendments to the Law on state and other holidays in the Republic of Serbia and the Bill on foreign investment.
At today's session, the government also approved the bills amending the laws on judges, on organisation of courts, and on the seats and regional offices of courts and public prosecutor's offices.
A Decree was passed at the session on national recognitions and awards for special contribution to development of sport. A Decree was also passed on financing the National Council for scientific and technological development.
The Information on the need of adopting sectoral investment plans in the areas of tourism, transport, culture, health care and construction and renovation of religious buildings was adopted.
Pavle Jevremovic was appointed as standing representative of the head of the Serbian diplomatic mission to the United Nations with its seat in New York.
Miroslava Beham was appointed as standing representative of Serbia at the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe and other international organisations based in Vienna.
