The interlocutors reached an agreement that the friendly relations between the two countries are characterised by sincere and unequivocal mutual support on issues of vital national interest for both sides.
Đurić underlined that Serbia sees Spain as one of its key friends and partners in Europe and that he wants this to be reflected in all other segments of cooperation.
The head of Serbian diplomacy expressed his gratitude for Spain's respect for international law and its principled stance on the issue of Serbia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, adding that he is confident that our country will be able to count on this type of support in the future.
Speaking about membership in the European Union as a strategic commitment and priority of Serbia's foreign policy, Đurić pointed out that Spain is an important partner of our country in the process of European integration on a political and technical level.
The head of Serbian diplomacy highlighted the good cooperation with Spain in international organisations, expressing the hope that Serbia's efforts and reform results will be valued.
During today's meeting, Đurić and Bueno signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Diplomatic Academy of the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic School of the Spanish Ministry for Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation.
