During his official visit to Spain, Đurić was a guest at the Elcano Royal Institute in Madrid, where he signed the book of distinguished visitors.
At the institute, the Minister noted that it is an honour and privilege to visit this renowned think tank dedicated to the research and analysis of international relations, which plays an important role in understanding global challenges and shaping constructive approaches to contemporary international affairs.
The head of Serbian diplomacy discussed with Director of the Elcano Royal Institute Charles Powell and his colleagues current geopolitical issues and the positions of Serbia and Spain on the international stage, as well as significant anniversaries in the two countries’ relations that are approaching.
He also exchanged views with the institute’s experts on Serbia’s foreign policy and its bilateral relations with Spain.
According to him, Serbia’s foreign policy priorities are clearly defined and complementary to national priorities at the domestic level, and relate to preserving the country’s political, social and economic stability, maintaining independence and sovereignty in conducting foreign and domestic policy, further economic development and the preservation of the identity, culture and traditions of the Serbian people.
The Minister also addressed the most significant regional issues and emphasised the importance of regional stability.
