Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović Handanović talked with Russian First Deputy Minister of Energy Pavel Sorokin and Minister of State at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Péter Sztáray about the realisation of the project of construction of an oil pipeline between Serbia and Hungary.

Đedović Handanović pointed out that the Serbia-Hungary oil pipeline is a strategically important project, with which our country will secure diversification of crude oil supply and improve energy security.
She stated that in the coming period, strategic talks will continue with representatives of the Russian and Hungarian governments on the legal, economic, technical and other details of this important project, whose significance goes beyond our country.
The Minister underlined that cooperation between the three countries in the field of gas supply is at a high level and that it represents an example to be followed in the field of oil supply too.
At the meeting it was concluded that the design of oil pipeline sections has been accelerated on both Serbian and Hungarian sides, and that high-level talks will continue to reach an agreement on all remaining issues.
