Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić said today that Serbia's participation in the World Expo 2025 in Osaka is extremely successful and significant for promoting our country in the entire international community.
Đurić, who visited the Serbian Pavilion at the aforementioned event in Osaka at the end of his working visit to Japan, emphasised that our country has managed to make its pavilion at Expo Osaka one of the most visited with more than 700,000 visitors so far.
The Minister said that, according to the organisers of the event, our country's pavilion is officially the most economical, adding that with it Serbia managed to present not only its culture and history, but also to send a message that it is a country of the future, which will host Expo 2027.
Speaking about Expo 2027, which will be held in Serbia, he stated that our country seeks to host a large number of visitors and become a meeting place for businesspeople, thinkers, people who need to solve the challenges facing humanity, as well as those who deal with art, culture and play, which is the theme of our Expo – Play for Humanity.
The head of Serbian diplomacy described the visit to Japan, which was rounded off by a tour of the Serbian Pavilion in Osaka, as very successful and a step forward in relations between the two countries, in anticipation of the highest-level visits that will follow.
