At the United Nations General Assembly in New York, during the General Debate of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development, Macura emphasised that, given that Serbia is recording strong economic growth, we have not only the political will, but also the space to support women in the economic and other spheres of life.
In addition to the plenary address, the Minister also participated in a special panel dedicated to demographic challenges, with an emphasis on our region, where she presented Serbia's population policy measures aimed at supporting births, family preservation and demographic recovery.
Macura also held a series of bilateral meetings with ministers and representatives from Croatia, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Spain, as well as with President of the European Economic and Social Committee Oliver Röpke.
Serbia's participation in this high-level international gathering, opened by UN Secretary-General António Guterres, confirms our commitment to building an inclusive, sustainable and equal society, in line with the goals of the UN.
