Cabinet Head of the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Jasmina Miljkovic said that joint efforts and funds invested in the participation of Serbian firms were definitely worthwhile since Serbian food producers have recorded the most successful participation so far at this fair.
The companies had their exhibition stalls at a SerbianFruit pavilion, which attracted a very large number of foreign buyers, who were especially interested in forest mushrooms and truffles, jams, ajvar, plum brandy "sljivovica" and Serbian wines.
In only three days, almost all companies signed contracts whose starting value is $6.5 million.
The contracts signed and numerous business contacts made at the fair strengthened the position of Serbian food producers at the North American and international market.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management will hold a press conference next week at which the results achieved at the fair will be presented, as well as plans for participation of Serbian food makers at upcoming fairs.
The following companies had their exhibitions at the SerbianFruit pavilion: Agranela, Agrokula, Areks, Aroma, As group, Fudeks, Foodland, Igda, Interfood 60, Marni, Navip, Nectar, Malina Produkt, Pionir, Sirogojno, Stara Sokolova, Woolf Export and Zadrugar.
