Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić spoke today with Acting Assistant Secretary of State of the United States Brendan Hanrahan.
Đurić emphasised that Serbia attaches great importance to the development of strategic partnership and overall relations with the United States of America, which represents one of the most important foreign policy partners of our country.
The officials particularly emphasised the importance of economic cooperation, which has been developing intensively in recent years, which is reflected in the increasing presence of American companies in Serbia and the growth of trade.
The Minister informed his interlocutor about the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, expressing serious concern about the continuous provocations, intimidation and violent actions of the provisional institutions in Priština.
The Minister stated that Serbia continues to support the territorial integrity of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with the Dayton Agreement, as well as of Republika Srpska as its entity.
However, he also pointed out that the immoderate statements and actions of certain high-ranking officials in Bosnia and Herzegovina do not contribute to the reconciliation process and the building of good neighbourly relations.
Serbia, he emphasised, consistently advocates for the preservation of peace and stability and the development of cooperation in the region aimed at the future, with a focus on the economy, infrastructure connectivity and projects of common interest.
