Minister of Justice Nenad Vujić spoke today with representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Serbia Soufiane Adjali about further cooperation in advancing the protection of the rights of refugees, asylum seekers and internally displaced persons.

Vujić and Adjali paid special attention to current challenges related to migration flows, access to justice for refugees and the need to strengthen institutional support.
The Minister emphasised Serbia’s commitment to preserving the human rights of all vulnerable groups, also pointing to the importance of partnership with international organisations, especially the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The UNHCR representative assessed that Serbia represents an example of good practice in the region when it comes to respecting international standards of refugee protection.
The officials reached an agreement that continuous dialogue and exchange of information are of crucial importance for resolving challenges in the field of migration and human rights protection.
