Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić met today with Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Serbia Aleksandr Botsan-Kharchenko and Ambassador of Belarus Siarhei Malinouski.
At the meeting, at which a number of multilateral topics were discussed, Đurić expressed gratitude to Russia and Belarus for their principled position on the issue of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, highlighting the importance of the support we receive from these countries in international organisations.
The Minister paid special attention to the situation in Kosovo and Metohija, in the context of Priština's intention to build two new bridges between the northern and southern parts of Kosovska Mitrovica, which is in direct contradiction with the results of the dialogue in Brussels.
In addition, Belgrade sees this unilateral move by the provisional institutions in Priština as a potential threat to security and peace in Kosovo and Metohija, Đurić emphasised.
When a new wave of politically motivated indictments against Serbs is added to this, it becomes clear that this is a far-reaching plot by Albin Kurti’s regime, which is directed not only against the Serbian people in the province, but also against the international community and its efforts to preserve peace in Kosovo and Metohija, he explained.
