Serbia’s negotiating team for Kosovo-Metohija will hold a meeting on Monday, July 17, at 10 am, in the Serbian Presidency building due to be attended by Serbian President Boris Tadic, Serbian Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica, Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vuk Draskovic and members of the negotiating team.
The state team meets after visits of Prime Minister Vojislav Kostunica to
London and
Washington DC and after his
address to the UN Security Council’s session dedicated to Kosovo-Metohija.
Technical negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina will resume in Vienna on Tuesday, July 18, and will focus on preservation of cultural and religious heritage and property of the church in the province.
Belgrade’s delegation will comprise team coordinators Leon Kojen and Slobodan Samardzic, advisor to the Serbian President Dusan Batakovic, head of the Coordinating Centre for Kosovo-Metohija Sanda Raskovic-Ivic, bishop of Lipljan Teodosije, bishop of Backa Irinej and bishop of Timok Justin, as well as director of the Serbian Office for Protection of Monuments Gordana Markovic.
Talks between Belgrade and Pristina on decentralisation of powers in the province, the number, financing and borders of Serbian municipalities in the province continue on Wednesday, July 19.
Apart from Kojen, Samardzic, Batakovic and Raskovic-Ivic, decentralisation talks will also be attended by Serbian Prime Minister’s advisor Aleksandar Simic and economic expert Bosko Mijatovic.
