The Government of the Republic of Serbia at today’s session adopted the Draft Law on Information Security, which successfully integrates Serbia into the single European digital market.
In order to ensure this, it is necessary to provide regulatory and institutional conditions for the accelerated development of the digital market and ensure that this development takes place in safe conditions for both the individual and society as a whole.
The new legal solutions define priority and important ICT systems of particular importance, the establishment of an information security office, certain activities that ICT systems of particular importance should undertake to protect the security of the entire ICT system, as well as procedures in the event of incidents that significantly threaten information security in the Republic of Serbia.
A special legal novelty is the mandatory performance of an ICT system risk assessment and the adoption of a Risk Assessment Act, bearing in mind that organizations must be aware of the dangers that may threaten information security and, based on that, take protective measures of an appropriate level in relation to the potential risk.
The session also adopted the Draft Law on Seeds and Planting Material of Agricultural and Ornamental Plants.
A Conclusion was adopted, giving consent for the Ministry of Health to take all measures within its jurisdiction to employ the best 100 graduates of medical faculties in healthcare institutions.
It was also agreed that the best 500 graduates of secondary medical schools, who are currently employed on a fixed-term basis, be employed on an indefinite basis.
