Minister of European Integration Nemanja Starović met today with the heads of United Nations agencies in Serbia to discuss continued cooperation in key areas of socio-economic development, as well as the support provided by UN agencies to Serbia’s reform processes on its path towards European Union membership.

Starović highlighted the importance of the support the United Nations offers to Serbia, particularly in the areas of digital transformation, institutional strengthening, judicial reform, agriculture and the green agenda.
The meeting concluded that the cooperation so far has been highly successful and forms a solid foundation for future joint efforts aimed at advancing development projects and bringing Serbia closer to the European Union.
Among the participants were UN Resident Coordinator in Serbia Matilde Mordt; UNDP Serbia Director Yakup Beris; UNOPS Director for Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia Michela Telatin; Head of the UNFPA Office in Serbia Borka Jeremić; and UNHCR Representative Soufiane Adjali.
