Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Ivana Dulic-Markovic and EU Enlargement Commissioner Olli Rehn agreed today that the Action Plan cannot be an alternative to concrete actions that are necessary so that cooperation with the Hague tribunal is successfully completed.
Dulic-Markovic noted that Serbia is fully aware of its responsibility and stressed that the most important task of the government is to remove as soon as possible obstacles that caused the stoppage of negotiations.
She expressed gratitude to Rehn for his support to Serbia in regard to its European perspective. She also expressed satisfaction because the EU Enlargement Commissioner will attend the EXIT festival in Novi Sad, where he will get the chance to discuss the visa regime with young people at the festival.
Rehn said that EU’s policy to Serbia has not changed and that Serbia will get necessary support and help. He pointed out that the responsibility for the country’s European perspective lies in the hands of the Serbian government.
