President of the Coordinating Body for Municipalities of Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja Rasim Ljajic opened today a 56 million dinar sporting and recreational centre in Sijarinska Banja.
Funds for the centre were provided by the Serbian government and the Coordinating Body, with the support of international donors.
Ljajic said that this is one of the biggest and most beautiful facilities of this type in the south of Serbia and will be of great importance for further development of Sijarinska Banja’s spa tourism.
He recalled that in the past five years the Serbian government invested around 5 billion dinars in these three municipalities, 1.5 billion of which in Medvedja alone and with 250 million dinars in donations.
According to Ljajic, the government will continue to support this region and stimulate development projects in Serbia’s south.
