Mali and Li noted that Serbia and China foster an iron-clad friendship, which will be further confirmed through major plans for cooperation.
The First Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that Serbia is extremely satisfied with cooperation with China and that it is fully committed to nurturing and further developing relations with the country.
He presented Serbia's plans for the Expo exhibition to the ambassador, stating that so far 110 countries have confirmed their participation in the specialised international fair that Serbia will host in 2027, and that the final number of participating countries is expected to exceed 117, which is the number of countries that participated in the last specialised exhibition in Astana.
Mali called on citizens of China to visit Serbia in as large a number as possible from 15 May to 15 August 2027, and estimated that between 3 and 4 million people from all over the world will visit Serbia during that period.
The First Deputy Prime Minister pointed out that Chinese companies in Serbia are engaged in the construction of the Expo complex, as well as the construction of the metro, tunnels through the centre of Belgrade, and the construction of bridges and roads.
According to him, the state of Serbia pays for all works on time and therefore expects that there will be no delays in their implementation.
Li said that the Chinese companies engaged in the Expo construction site are dedicated to this work and are ready to intensify it in order to avoid any delays.
