Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Ivana Dulic-Markovic and Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs and EU Council President Ursula Plassnik agreed at today's meeting that it is very important that Serbia take initiative and show readiness to fulfil conditions for continuation of negotiations with the European Union.

Dulic-Markovic highlighted that the Serbian government is fully committed to European integration and voiced hope that negotiations on the stabilisation and association agreement will soon be resumed.
She thanked Minister Plassnik on the efforts Austria has made during its EU presidency and voiced hope that good cooperation will be continued.
Dulic-Markovic and Plassnik agreed that cooperation between democracy-oriented forces, with dialogue with the international community, is a precondition for continuation of successful reforms in Serbia and resolution of citizens' concrete problems.
