Minister of Mining and Energy Dubravka Đedović Handanović said at a gathering in Milan that the energy transition cannot be viewed separately from energy security and economic development.
At the Next Milan forum at Bocconi University, which gathered more than 1,000 students from across the world, Đedović Handović discussed energy transition and the growing demand for electricity in the Balkans.
She said that investments of approximately €15 billion are planned for the development of the energy sector in Serbia in the next 10 to 15 years so that the country can continue to supply electricity to citizens and businesses and support further economic development.
The Minister pointed out that Serbia has eight transmission system interconnections and will continue with investments and the construction of energy corridors.
